Risk Disclosure

Read this before you deposit or trade. You can lose all of the money you deposit. Only use money you can afford to lose.

Market risk

Digital asset and other market prices are highly volatile. They can move sharply in minutes, including while you are asleep or unable to reach the app. Markets trade around the clock.

Leverage and liquidation

Leverage multiplies losses as well as gains. A small price move against a leveraged position can wipe out its margin.

  • If your margin can no longer cover a position's loss, the position is closed automatically and the margin is lost.
  • Liquidation can happen without warning. Notifications are a courtesy and are not guaranteed to arrive, or to arrive in time.
  • Funding charges on open positions reduce your margin over time and move your liquidation price closer.
  • Fast markets can close a position at a worse price than the one shown.

Contracts, not ownership

A position is a contract with Euron that tracks a market's price. You do not own the underlying asset and cannot take delivery of it. Euron is your counterparty.

Price data

Prices come from third-party data sources. They can be delayed, interrupted or wrong. When that happens a market may be suspended, orders refused, or trades at a clearly wrong price corrected.

Copy trading and the leaderboard

Other users' results show the past, not the future. The leaderboard shows who did well recently — not who will do well next. Copying a trader carries the same risk as opening the positions yourself, and their strategy may not suit you. Other users are not advisers and are not regulated by us.

Blockchain and custody risk

  • Transactions on a blockchain cannot be reversed. Assets sent to the wrong address or on the wrong network may be lost permanently.
  • Networks can be congested, forked or attacked, delaying or preventing deposits and withdrawals.
  • Assets you deposit are held by Euron, not in a wallet only you control. If Euron were hacked, became insolvent or was ordered to stop operating, you might lose some or all of your balance or be unable to withdraw it.
  • Your balance is not protected by a deposit guarantee or investor compensation scheme unless we expressly say otherwise.

Technology risk

The app, our servers or your device can fail. Outages may prevent you from opening, closing or managing a position when you want to.

Legal and regulatory risk

Laws on digital assets and leveraged trading are changing in many countries. A change may limit what we can offer you, require us to close positions or accounts, or affect how your gains and losses are taxed. Tax is your own responsibility.

No advice

Nothing in Euron is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. If you are unsure whether trading suits you, get independent financial advice.
